Hatcher Garden and Woodland Preserve

Harold and Josephine Hatcher began this garden behind their home more than 30 years ago. In 1986, Harold Hatcher gave the property to the Spartanburg County Foundation so that it would be protected forever. Today Hatcher Garden is a not-for-profit organization supported by donations. It features more than 10,000 plants, numerous ponds, and trails from which to view the wildlife. Best time to visit is spring through early fall. Don't forget to sign the register.
